Medtech Prototyping & Testing

Fast tracking the creation of medtech with prototypes & testing

Medtech Prototypes

“The best way to test if an idea is good is to build it and evaluate it”.

This is Create Medtech’s approach when taking on new ideas from innovators, medical needs -and maybe from you? We rely on a fast-paced prototyping model where we:

  • Ideate, what is possible to prototype and test an idea/product
  • Design, what needs to be built, and how to test it
  • Create, the designed prototype and test it according to the plan

This approach allows for rapid prototyping, fast collection of new knowledge, and quite simply, for us to improve and develop medtech ideas into medical devices in an efficient and fact-based way.

Physical Prototyping

Looks Like, a model that looks like the envisioned product with limited functionality. Often made in similar materials and treated to look aesthetically correct.

Works Like, a model that works like the intended medical device, but deviates in look and feel. Such prototypes are often 3D printed or rapidly prototyped in another way.

Presentation Model, a model to use for pitches, events, and stakeholder showcases highlighting desired features in an aesthetic manner.

Test Model, for testing one or more specific parameters of a product, for documentation or optimization. This can relate to durability, performance, shelf-life, temperature limitations, wear tests, etc.

Digital Prototyping

3D CAD Model, a technical 3D digital representation of a product, that can be evaluated on screens or via AR to optimize design choices. The model can be used for physical prototypes e.g. through 3D printing.

Rendering, visually realistic-looking digital pictures or videos of concepts -often used for pitches, presentations, and branding material.

Simulation Model, used to identify mechanical weaknesses/optimization possibilities of parts and products to enhance performance and reduce cost. E.g. through FEM/FEA simulations.
